Job Description

Salary: £55,000 - 55,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Experience in technical cyber security or information security engineering, with practical delivery of improvements
  • Strong knowledge of SIEM, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and cloud security controls
  • Experience maintaining log ingestion pipelines and improving alert fidelity
  • Ability to support incident response as a technical subject matter expert
  • Experience working across hybrid infrastructure and integrating security systems effectively
  • Ability to proactively monitor the health and optimisation of security tooling
  • Right to work in the UK, or the ability to obtain it
Responsibilities:
  • Design, improve, and maintain our technical cyber security and information security defences
  • Ensure the health, optimisation, and continuous improvement of our cyber security tooling
  • Maintain and improve SIEM, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and cloud security controls
  • Maintain log ingestion pipelines and improve alert fidelity
  • Ensure our security systems are effectively integrated across our hybrid infrastructure
  • Support incident response by identifying, containing, and remediating threats
  • Contribute to lessons learned and measurable service improvements
  • Work closely with colleagues across Information Services to support operational needs while maintaining strong protection
  • Deliver operational improvements aligned to our Cyber Security Roadmap and Cyber Security Strategy
  • Strengthen cyber resilience across our services through practical engineering and proactive monitoring
