Principal BI Developer

Salary: £65,000 - 65,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience in FinTech, SaaS, financial services, or other data-intensive environments
• Previous experience with reconciliation platforms or financial data solutions
• Proven track record of leading technical delivery projects
• Experience managing or mentoring development teams
• Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle
• Experience working within structured change management processes
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Proactive, hands-on approach to solving technical challenges
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including SQL querying, optimisation, and performance tuning
• Experience with data manipulation and analysis
• Experience with SSRS or Power BI

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor developers across multiple levels
• Support team members career development, performance, and technical growth
• Drive engineering standards and development best practices
• Review and approve technical solution designs
• Oversee project build activities and technical delivery
• Manage defect triage and resolution throughout testing phases
• Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues
• Lead peer reviews and ensure high-quality delivery outcomes
• Work closely with project stakeholders to support successful solution implementation
