People Systems and Data Analyst

Salary: £35,000 - 35,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience working with HRIS or HR systems in a systems administration, support or analyst capacity
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with a data-driven mindset
• Experience producing reports, dashboards and management information that provide meaningful insight
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to adapt messages for different audiences
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
• Experience identifying and delivering process improvements
• Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs and Power Query
• Experience supporting system updates, testing and troubleshooting
• Ability to translate complex information into clear recommendations and actions
• Proactive approach and interest in continuous improvement and innovation
• Desirable: experience building dashboards in Power BI
• Desirable: experience with data modelling and relationship design in Power BI
• Desirable: CIPD qualification or equivalent experience

Responsibilities:

• Produce people metrics, dashboards and management information to support operational and strategic decision-making
• Analyse workforce trends and translate complex data into clear insights for different audiences
• Support and develop our HR systems, including enhancements, upgrades, testing and user acceptance testing
• Identify opportunities to automate reporting and improve how we use data
• Maintain data quality through regular audits, data cleansing and process improvements
• Support statutory and business-critical reporting requirements
• Work with colleagues across our People Team and wider business to understand challenges, answer questions and provide evidence-based recommendations
• Help users get the best from our people systems through training, support and continuous improvement initiatives

The role works closely with our People Systems & Data Manager to support HR systems, maintain data integrity, improve processes and provide workforce insights that enhance colleague experience and organisational performance. This is a full-time, permanent role based in Bedfordshire with hybrid working; part-time hours are also considered, with a minimum of 25 hours per week worked over five days. The salary is £38,000 FTE.
