Network Engineer

Salary: £60,000 - 65,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer with exposure across several of the following: Cisco / CCNP-level networking and Nexus switching
• Cisco ASA/Firepower
• Fortinet, Check Point or Palo Alto firewalls
• AWS and/or Azure
• Windows/Linux servers
• VMware ESXi/vSAN
• Load balancing and network monitoring
• Defender / Sentinel / SIEM
• HLD/LLD documentation
• ITIL, incident/change/problem management
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer-facing ability
• The confidence to work independently and take ownership
• A resilient, can-do attitude
• Relevant networking qualifications, ideally CCNP or equivalent

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support across complex customer environments and managed services
• Troubleshoot and resolve network and infrastructure incidents
• Contribute to solution design, HLD/LLD, implementations and technical projects
• Act as a technical escalation point and subject matter expert
• Work within an ITIL-based service environment, supporting SLAs, KPIs and change/problem management
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rota
• Build strong customer relationships and deliver a high level of technical service
• Occasionally travel to customer sites, data centres and offices in Milton Keynes/Watford
