Machine Learning Engineer, ADAS
Job Description
Salary: £60,000 - 60,000 per year
Requirements:- We have built and shipped CV-focused deep learning systems and can demonstrate strong applied ML engineering experience, not research-only.
- We have experience with 3D perception concepts or pipelines such as LiDAR, multi-view geometry, tracking, or 3D reconstruction.
- We are comfortable owning work end-to-end, including evaluation and dataset generation.
- We enjoy pragmatic problem-solving and working under real product constraints.
- We are excited to improve real-world driving performance through better perception.
- Passion for autonomy and a willingness to learn are valued, even if we do not meet every requirement.
- Train, debug, and improve computer vision and 3D perception models.
- Iterate based on clear evaluation signals across the full ML lifecycle, including data, training, evaluation, and iteration.
- Partner with the team to decide what to tackle next based on where the system is underperforming.
- Build scalable data pipelines, including auto-labelling and pseudo-labelling, to accelerate model development.
- Help deliver core ADAS perception capabilities such as detection, classification, and instance segmentation.
- Contribute to domain areas including lanes, objects, traffic signs, and traffic lights.
- Work on offline pipelines such as tracking and 3D reconstruction to generate large labelled datasets.
- Depending on strengths, contribute to online models that must run fast in-car or offline models that improve data quality and coverage at scale.

More:
We are Wayve, founded in 2017 and the leading developer of Embodied AI technology. Our advanced AI software and foundation models enable vehicles to perceive, understand, and navigate complex environments, helping improve the usability and safety of automated driving systems. We are building the leading AI platform for autonomous driving with an end-to-end, mapless, and hardware-agnostic approach that learns from real-world experience and is designed for automakers. We operate in a fast-paced, inclusive environment where we value diversity, new perspectives, and meaningful impact. Our engineering teams work across high-quality training data, CV and 3D perception models, and scalable data generation to power driver assistance in real-world driving. We have main hubs in London, Sunnyvale, Yokohama, Herzliya, Vancouver, and Leonberg, and we work in a hybrid model with in-person collaboration and remote flexibility. We offer market-benchmarked salaries, meaningful equity, relocation support and visa sponsorship where applicable, hybrid working, learning and development budgets, and comprehensive benefits including health insurance, dental, enhanced parental leave, retirement or pension where applicable, therapists, wellbeing partnerships, team socials, and more.
