Salary: £31,000 - 71,000 per year

Requirements:
  • We need in-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps and Copilot.
  • We need demonstrable experience developing or influencing technology adoption plans across multiple teams or departments.
  • We need the ability to communicate clearly with staff at every level, from first-time users to senior managers.
  • We need a track record of running training and producing guidance people actually use.
  • We need confidence evaluating new features, including AI, and making the case for what is worth adopting.
Responsibilities:
  • We own our Microsoft 365 adoption roadmap and help shape how the University adopts new Microsoft technologies, automation and AI capabilities.
  • We decide what gets rolled out, where, and in what order across Professional Services and the Faculties.
  • We work with teams to observe how they actually work and identify where Power Apps or built-in automation tools can make processes easier.
  • We run training sessions and provide one-to-one advice to help staff become more self-sufficient.
  • We support lasting change by refining our approach based on whether staff are benefiting from new ways of working.
  • We mentor the User Services and IT/AV Support teams so they can handle day-to-day questions.

We are Birkbeck, University of London, and we are seeking a full-time Lead M365 Adoption & Support Specialist to join our Information Services team. This is a newly created, permanent role focused on helping the University make better use of Microsoft 365, Power Platform and AI technologies, including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot and Copilot Studio. We offer a competitive salary starting at 51,713 rising incrementally to 60,858 per annum, Grade 8 on our London Pay Scale with consolidated London Weighting Allowance, 31 days paid leave, a pension scheme, flexible working arrangements and generous benefits in the HE sector. The role is full time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday on site with some evening shift work where necessary, based in the heart of Bloomsbury, Euston, London.
