Job Description

Salary: £68,000 - 108,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Expertise in Agentic and Generative AI and their application within regulated environments such as Financial Services.
  • Proven proficiency in LLMOps/MLOps practices for development, deployment, and continuous monitoring of LLMs, agentic systems, and machine learning models in production.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data science techniques and machine learning models, with practical experience creating and deploying ML solutions in a business context.
  • Experience with Databricks model serving on the Azure cloud platform.
  • Previous experience mentoring junior team members within a data science environment.
  • Success in leading end-to-end data science projects that generate measurable business value.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, including familiarity with machine learning libraries, data visualisation tools, and version control systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical colleagues and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Eligibility and authorisation to work in the United Kingdom.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and deliver data science projects from start to finish, providing valuable insights and benefits for the business.
  • Create data science solutions and ensure models are developed, deployed, and monitored effectively using strong LLMOps/MLOps practices.
  • Find opportunities and problems where data science can make a real difference.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in AI, data science, and machine learning through reading, conferences, and industry news.
  • Share knowledge and ideas by researching best practices, testing new concepts, and working with industry experts.
  • Build connections with universities and contribute to open-source projects to keep the team innovative.
  • Help develop and promote the teams data science strategies and standards.
  • Manage and support a team of data scientists, helping them grow and develop their skills.

We work smart, supporting flexible working and allowing our people to balance time between home and the office, with at least two days a week away from home, increasing to three days a week from December 2026.
