Junior Data Engineer

Salary: £35,000 - 50,000 per year

Requirements:

• Degree qualified in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science or a similar technical or numerate discipline
• Understanding of programming principles and software development
• Experience with at least one programming language
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Strong problem-solving skills and an interest in learning new technologies
• Ability to understand how complete systems operate in production environments

Responsibilities:

• Develop, test and maintain software using Python, Go and TypeScript
• Process, analyse and validate live and historical sports datasets
• Support cloud infrastructure, applications and production systems
• Write SQL queries and work with relational databases
• Troubleshoot software, data and infrastructure-related issues
• Contribute to technical projects, documentation and system improvements
