Java Lead eSoftware Engineer - Equities Algo Trading VP
Job Description
Salary: £62,000 - 102,000 per year
Requirements:- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and proficient advanced experience in Java
- Proficiency in low latency, real-time, scalable trading systems
- Experience in building and dealing with high throughput messaging APIs and middleware products
- Ability to work effectively within a global team spread across NA, EMEA, and APAC while influencing and contributing to the development of the global platform
- Experience with algorithmic trading, including systematic trading
- Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
- Experience with FIX, Market Data, Analytics, and OMS
- Market microstructure knowledge
- Equities, FX, options, and derivatives asset class knowledge
- Experience with Jupyter/Pandas, KDB+/Q, Python, and shell scripting
- Design and develop algo trading strategies and execution platforms
- Design and develop our simulation environment and maintain automated testing of strategies and their responses to staged market conditions
- Enhance existing strategies to improve performance by reviewing analytics and evolving our models and signals
- Support the desk by deep-diving into specific cases to interpret strategy behavior and address issues
- Develop scalable real-time processing solutions using agile methodologies
- Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
- Work with quants, traders, technologists, and all stakeholders in our business to develop, implement, support, and maintain a market-leading algo execution platform trading global markets
