IT Support Engineer

Salary: £34,000 - 38,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require 3+ years of experience in a managed service provider (MSP) environment.
• We require strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
• We require a professional, positive, and customer-focused approach.
• We require the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• We require relevant industry certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft, or equivalent.
• We require familiarity with common MSP tools and processes.
• We require a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• We require strong experience with Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and networking.
• We require a good understanding of managed backups, cybersecurity, antivirus, and EDR solutions.
• We require experience supporting SaaS platforms in a multi-tenant MSP environment.

Responsibilities:

• We provide 2nd and 3rd line IT support via phone, email, remote access, and on-site visits.
• We troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently and professionally.
• We accurately log, update, and manage tickets within our PSA system.
• We escalate issues where appropriate and follow incidents through to resolution.
• We support end users with setup and configuration of PCs, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices.
• We administer and support Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows Server environments, and Microsoft 365 including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and Intune.
• We support networking technologies including TCP/IP, switches, routers, firewalls, and Wi-Fi.
• We support backup, antivirus, EDR, and cybersecurity platforms.
• We lead and deliver infrastructure, cloud, and migration projects.
• We mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• We assist with account management and client relationships.
• We keep our skills current through certifications, training, and exposure to new technologies.
• We participate in occasional out-of-hours support, project work, or an on-call rota.

This position combines traditional 2nd and 3rd line MSP support with work across Microsoft 365, Windows Server, networking, security, internal tooling, Azure-hosted platforms, and system integrations.
