IT Manager

Salary: £55,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements:

• Senior IT management experience, ideally across multiple sites or countries
• Hands-on experience with Azure, Microsoft 365 and Entra ID / SSO
• Strong Windows Server, Hyper-V and SQL Server skills
• Experience owning an IT budget and negotiating with suppliers
• Excellent communication skills and a people-first approach to IT support
• Desirable: Working knowledge of Dynamics 365 and Sage 200
• Desirable: Experience working within a global IT team
• Desirable: Development skills (C#/ASP.NET Core, Flutter, Git, Azure DevOps) to help maintain our in-house app
• Desirable: Experience setting up and governing AI tools in a business
• Desirable: Azure, M365 or ITIL certifications

Responsibilities:

• Design and execute the regional IT strategy and roadmap with the Special Projects Director, aligned with USSC global IT standards and policies
• Run day-to-day IT across EMEA, including infrastructure, networks, applications, devices and user support
• Administer Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Hyper-V and SQL Server, including accounts, permissions and SSO
• Manage the IT budget, suppliers, licences and contracts in conjunction with the SLT and finance department
• Lead regional IT staff and third-party support providers
• Own IT security and compliance, including MFA, patching, backup, disaster recovery and UK GDPR
• Support business systems such as Dynamics 365, Sage 200, SolidWorks, Adobe Creative Cloud and Jira
• Pilot and roll out AI tools in accordance with USSC group policy
• Clear the current IT backlog and establish a reliable support process

Reacton is a global leader in automatic fire suppression, with pre-engineered systems that protect demanding machines and environments, including mining fleets, heavy plant, buses, marine vessels and critical infrastructure. Following our acquisition by USSC, we are expanding across Europe, the Middle East, APAC and the Americas while strengthening USSCs fire suppression portfolio. This is a hands-on, people-facing IT Manager role leading IT across EMEA, reporting to our Projects Director and working closely with the wider USSC Global IT team. The position is based on-site in Witham, Essex, with occasional travel; it is full-time and permanent, with a salary of £55,000–£60,000 per year.
