IT Manager

Salary: £60,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require 8+ years of overall IT experience, including at least 3-5 years in an IT management or senior technical leadership role; experience in industrial, mining or heavy manufacturing environments is preferred.
• We are looking for someone with a proven track record of managing people, budgets and vendor costs, not just technology.
• We need strong communication skills.
• We require experience directing an outsourced MSP relationship.
• We need networking knowledge across LAN, WAN, VPN, VLAN, firewalls, Wi-Fi, switching, routing, DNS and DHCP.
• We require experience with Intune Device Management, Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory and Prox Mox.
• We value experience with Cyber Essentials and broader security best practice.
• We require working knowledge of backup and disaster recovery design and testing.
• We require genuine project delivery experience.

Responsibilities:

• We will ask you to develop and deliver our IT strategy and roadmap, ensuring systems, infrastructure and technology investments support current operations, future growth and site expansion.
• We will expect you to oversee the performance, reliability and security of our IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networks, backup, disaster recovery and business continuity arrangements.
• You will lead our cybersecurity programme, ensuring appropriate controls, policies, procedures and regulatory compliance are maintained.
• You will manage our relationship with the Managed Service Provider, holding them accountable for service delivery, security performance and value for money.
• You will own the delivery of IT projects and system improvements, including infrastructure upgrades, platform migrations, business applications and new technology implementations.
• You will ensure the effective operation, support and ongoing development of core business systems, including ERP and specialist operational applications.
• You will provide leadership for IT support services, ensuring end users have reliable technology, appropriate training and a strong awareness of security best practices.
• You will build, lead and develop our internal IT function, managing resources, budgets and stakeholder relationships to meet business objectives.
