IT Infrastructure & Systems Manager

Salary: £28,000 - 32,000 per year

Requirements:

• A degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent commercial experience.
• Proven experience managing IT infrastructure and Microsoft 365 administration.
• A strong understanding of networking, domains, cloud services and cyber security best practice.
• Experience implementing data retention policies and achieving Cyber Essentials compliance.
• Excellent project management, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience implementing or integrating CRM, research data-capture, laboratory information management (LIMS) or similar workflow systems.
• Experience with prototyping tools such as Figma or Adobe XD.
• Experience in web design.
• Successful completion of an Enhanced DBS check, right to work in the UK, two satisfactory references including your most recent employer, and verification of qualifications where applicable.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and develop our IT infrastructure, Microsoft 365 environment and domain administration.
• Design and implement new systems, workflows and technology solutions that improve efficiency across the business.
• Support the evaluation, implementation and integration of scalable digital systems as we expand our biobanking and research capabilities, including CRM, research data-capture and sample-management systems.
• Lead Cyber Essentials, data retention, security and compliance initiatives.
• Manage our IT suppliers, telecommunications providers and software licensing.
• Oversee user setup, equipment and asset tracking, CCTV, ID card systems, Adobe licensing and laboratory software.
• Support IT budgeting, identify opportunities to reduce costs and ensure projects are delivered successfully.
• Take ownership of technology projects from concept through to delivery, working across every department.
• Balance day-to-day management of our IT environment with the design and delivery of new systems that support business growth.
