IT & Infrastructure Lead

Salary: £45,000 - 55,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong background in IT infrastructure and networking, ideally gained within a manufacturing, engineering, logistics, processing, energy or similarly operational environment
• Experience across Windows and Microsoft 365 environments
• Experience with networking, LAN, Wi-Fi, VLANs and TCP/IP
• Experience with servers and physical infrastructure
• Experience with endpoint and device management
• Experience with IT asset and hardware lifecycle management
• Experience working with managed service providers or external IT partners
• Experience with infrastructure troubleshooting and technical project coordination
• Exposure to SCADA, operational technology, industrial networks or manufacturing systems would be particularly useful
• Ability to understand a broad technology environment, take ownership of problems and work effectively with both technical specialists and non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities:

• Support and maintain servers, networks, Wi-Fi, switches and site connectivity
• Administer Microsoft 365 and support end-user technology
• Manage laptops, tablets, phones and other IT assets throughout their lifecycle
• Act as the on-site technical point of contact when infrastructure or connectivity issues arise
• Work with the external MSP to troubleshoot issues, manage incidents and coordinate technical projects
• Build stronger processes around asset management, hardware replacement and IT documentation
• Support implementation of Group IT, cyber security and technology standards
• Identify infrastructure risks and improvement opportunities before they become operational problems
• Provide practical first and second-line support where physical intervention is required
• Work around SCADA and other industrial systems to help diagnose infrastructure or connectivity issues and coordinate specialist support where necessary

We are recruiting for an IT & Infrastructure Lead for an established and growing operational business based in Melton, East Yorkshire. This is a permanent, site-based role offering genuine ownership of the local IT environment, where you will be the key technical point of contact on site and work closely with an established managed service provider and wider Group IT teams. We offer the opportunity to become the main technology lead for the site, with local autonomy, hands-on technical work and broader development exposure across an international Group IT environment. The salary is up to £55,000, dependent on experience and overall technical capability.
