IT Hardware Engineer - Laptops
Job Description
Salary: £27,000 - 27,000 per year
Requirements:- Experience in the IT field is desirable.
- Experience repairing or building hardware.
- Ability to communicate well in written English.
- A can-do attitude and a self-starter mindset.
- Ability to work with quality and flexibility to meet customer demands.
- Enhanced DBS disclosure is required due to the nature of the role.

- Diagnose incoming laptops for defects and damage and log them appropriately.
- Install Windows operating systems.
- Carry out maintenance, specialist repairs, modifications, upgrades, and software or hardware enhancements within our capabilities.
- Distinguish between hardware problems and accidental damage.
- Provide neat fixing, including cleaning devices and ensuring they are properly sealed.
- Check work appropriately, feedback issues, and update tickets with diagnostic results and ESD locations as part of our quality assurance process.
- Provide a basic level of first-line technical support to end users when needed.
- Update tickets with relevant Easy4u status in line with repair diagnosis.
- Work with the service platform and helpdesk system to record items and keep customers informed of repair progress.
- Support other areas of the operations department when needed.
- Strive for quality rather than quantity in our service delivery.
