Information Security and Assurance Advisor

Salary: £55,000 - 55,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require a valid driving licence due to supporting multiple sites in the Warwickshire area.
• We require applicants to have lived in the UK for the last five years, as successful applicants will be subject to national security checks.
• We are looking for previous experience working within an Information Assurance function.
• We are looking for demonstrable experience supporting information security risk identification and management.
• We are looking for experience reporting on and supporting compliance requirements.

Responsibilities:

• We provide professional guidance and specialist advice on information security.
• We support data protection compliance and ensure appropriate controls are identified and implemented to protect personal data.
• We ensure the organisation meets the security assessment framework and strict technical requirements.
• We support UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 compliance programmes.
• We advise on and manage information security incidents.
• We manage governance, assurance documentation, and reporting requirements.
• We work with stakeholders to identify, assess, and manage information security risks.
• We ensure risks are clearly understood, owned by the business, and reduced to an acceptable level.
• We translate technical issues into clear business impacts.
• We provide leadership with clear, honest insight into security risks, highlighting emerging threats and control weaknesses.
• We support effective detection, investigation, and response to security incidents, ensuring lessons are learned and controls improved.
• We manage security risks associated with suppliers and cloud services, ensuring robust requirements are built into procurement and contracts.
