Group Head of Information Technology

Salary: £62,000 - 62,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proven IT leadership in mid-sized or scale-up environments
• Proven track record of building IT functions from scratch or transforming immature ones
• Deep expertise in strategy, architecture, governance, and commercial delivery
• Ability to evaluate and recommend tech stacks, including cloud and ERP platforms
• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, capex/opex, and vendor ROI
• Experience with vendor management, contract negotiation, and SLA enforcement
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CIPP, ITIL, or TOGAF are desirable

Responsibilities:

• Own the full IT strategy and multi-year roadmap, aligning technology with commercial growth
• Bring commercial accountability to the IT plan through cost optimisation, system streamlining, and ROI justification
• Design and enforce IT governance, policies, and risk frameworks, including ISO 27001, GDPR, and cyber resilience
• Lead vendor selection, contract negotiation, and SLA enforcement
• Assess current systems and implement the optimum tech stack across cloud, ERP, security, and automation
• Deliver disaster recovery, business continuity, and zero-downtime operations
• Act as a trusted advisor to the CFO and board, translating technology into business impact
