Full Stack Developer - UK

Salary: £40,000 - 40,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience in Java development
• Experience with one or more Java frameworks and libraries, including Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Struts, JavaServer Faces (JSF), Apache Commons, or Guava
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software design patterns
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and associated technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, and Swagger/OpenAPI
• Experience with source control systems such as Git
• Understanding of software testing methodologies and automated testing practices
• Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies
• Proven experience delivering solutions within the UK Public Sector
• Understanding of Public Sector delivery frameworks, governance, security, and compliance requirements
• Experience working on large-scale digital transformation or citizen-facing services is highly desirable
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud is desirable
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is desirable
• Experience with messaging technologies and event-driven architectures is desirable
• Familiarity with secure coding principles and application security standards is desirable
• Exposure to container orchestration and cloud-native development patterns is desirable

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications
• Build scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions using modern Java frameworks and technologies
• Develop and support microservices-based architectures and distributed systems
• Collaborate with architects, business analysts, QA engineers, and other developers throughout the software development lifecycle
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices
• Create and maintain technical documentation for applications and services
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the adoption of modern development practices
• Support deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of applications in cloud and containerised environments
