Field Service Engineer

Salary: £40,000 - 45,000 per year

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer, Installation Engineer or Commissioning Engineer
• Strong mechanical engineering background with experience fault finding, servicing and repairing industrial machinery
• Experience installing and commissioning capital equipment or complex machinery, or transferable machinery experience
• Willingness to travel throughout the UK and occasionally stay away from home
• Ideally educated to BEng, HND or HNC level, or relevant industry experience
• Strong organisational skills
• Experience in large mechanical or digital machinery
• Analytical and organised approach
• Computer literate
• CAD or graphics software knowledge is advantageous
• Clean driving licence
• Proven experience in a similar field service role
• Background in engineering, particularly equipment installation and maintenance
• Formal engineering qualification such as HNC, HND or BEng is preferred but not essential if supported by strong experience

Responsibilities:

• Install, commission, service and maintain high-value capital equipment at customer sites across the UK
• Visit sites across the UK to support our machinery
• Provide mechanical support at client sites, including troubleshooting and repairs
• Install new equipment, move machines, service equipment and decommission machinery
• Provide telephone support where appropriate
• Deliver first-class technical support and customer service
• Support UK-based clients to ensure machinery is installed, serviced, maintained and updated

We are a world-leading manufacturer of precision digital cutting systems and a leading manufacturing company with a portfolio of recognised, world-leading clients. This Field Service Engineer role covers the South UK region and is part of our dedicated UK support team. The position offers a competitive salary, a company vehicle, BUPA, a remuneration package and pension. We have recently moved into a new state-of-the-art office in the east of England. The role is Monday to Friday with flexibility required for travel and customer support needs. You will begin with 1-2 weeks of induction and product training at our UK head office, followed by 4-6 months of support alongside a colleague to help you succeed in delivering the best service to our customers.
