Field Deployment IT Engineer
Job Description
Salary: £40,000 - 45,000 per year
Requirements:- Minimum 2 years experience in a 2nd Line IT Support or equivalent IT professional role
- Extensive experience providing field-based IT support within customer environments
- Proven experience in operating system deployment, imaging, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Proven experience in PC hardware installation, replacement, commissioning, and support
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, including IP addressing and connectivity troubleshooting
- Experience performing data backup, migration, and restoration activities
- Demonstrated ability to support IT infrastructure and end-user technology
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with customers and colleagues
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Flexible approach to work, with a willingness to travel as required
- Must hold a full driving licence
- Provide dedicated technical deployment support to the wider Field Service Department
- Deliver planned technology refreshes and infrastructure lifecycle activities across the installed analyser base
- Execute field-based activities including Windows operating system upgrades, security patch remediation, system reimaging, IT hardware replacement, software installation and configuration, data migration, and system validation
- Work closely with Field Service Engineers, Technical Support, Product Management, and customers
- Ensure upgrades and deployments are completed efficiently while maintaining analyser performance and minimising disruption to laboratory operations

We are recruiting two Field Deployment Engineers, one covering the Northern Territory and the other covering the Midlands Territory. This is a fixed-term contract until March 2027. In this role, you will support our Field Service Department in delivering technology refreshes and lifecycle activities across the installed analyser base, working closely with internal teams and customers to maintain performance and reduce disruption to laboratory operations.
