Documentation Engineer

Salary: £35,000 - 35,000 per year

Requirements:

• 3 years experience in manufacturing, planning, engineering, or master data management.
• Strong understanding of BOM structures and MRP principles.
• Good ERP experience, ideally Microsoft Business Central.
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience within discrete manufacturing, assembly, or engineered products environments.

Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of critical product data, Bill of Materials (BOM) structures, and engineering change control processes.
• Own and govern Item Master data within Business Central.
• Create and maintain accurate multi-level BOM structures.
• Manage BOM revisions, effectivity dates, and engineering change implementation.
• Support MRP planning activities and resolve data-related planning exceptions.
• Drive master data standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Act as the key link between Engineering, Production, Procurement, Quality, and Finance teams.
