Director of Software Engineering

Salary: £120,000 - 150,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proven senior leadership ownership of Software Engineering covering workforce transformation, AI strategy and governance, and global scale delivery
• Strong commercial mindset with a track record of delivering growth in enterprise software
• Experience delivering large-scale, regulated, or mission-critical platforms
• Demonstrated success leading AI-enabled or technology-led transformation
• Strong cross-functional influence and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience leading global, multi-time-zone teams with 70+ headcount
• Knowledge of regulated software environments is desirable but not essential
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities:

• Own software engineering end to end, including architecture, delivery, and lifecycle for UKI products
• Drive growth through differentiated capabilities, faster time to value, and commercial execution
• Deliver high-quality, mission-critical, regulated clinical software with clear accountability for outcomes
• Lead AI-first transformation across platforms and engineering practices, improving velocity, quality, and cost to serve
• Partner with Product Management, Sales, Marketing, Services, and Support to accelerate go-to-market, implementations, renewals, and expansion
• Lead globally distributed teams with strong execution discipline and outcome-based accountability
