DevOps Engineer

Salary: £36,000 - 76,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
• Hands-on experience with workflow orchestration tools, especially Apache Airflow.
• Familiarity with data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Proficiency with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• 5+ years of professional experience in a quantitative role.
• Familiarity with the trading process and financial markets.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability to work hard and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build out environments.
• Perform continuous status checks on research and trading-critical automated tasks.
• Develop automated testing frameworks and AI-driven solutions to improve the quality of research and development outputs.
• Identify opportunities to improve the stability and performance of infrastructure components and implement solutions.
• Continuously monitor logs for all production applications.
• Proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact operations.
• Oversee the health and performance of data pipelines, including our data pipeline and other dependencies.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of external data.
• Work closely with researchers, developers, and portfolio managers to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
• Monitor and maintain web scraping pipelines to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
