Data Integration Specialist
Job Description
Salary: £58,000 - 98,000 per year
Requirements:- 3+ years of relevant work experience in data integration, data analysis, or software development
- 1+ year of experience applying data science tools to support advanced data analytics, machine learning, and data visualisation
- Higher secondary education and completed higher vocational training in information technology, computer science, data science, or a closely related field; or secondary education and completed advanced vocational training in that discipline leading to a professional qualification or professional accreditation with 5 years post-related experience
- Demonstrable experience delivering data integration using AI and/or machine learning tools, such as Databricks, Watson, Microsoft Cognitive Toolkit, or TensorFlow
- Demonstrable experience designing mathematical and statistical models to resolve business challenges
- Demonstrable experience applying data science, analytics, and data integration tools/programming languages on real-world datasets, such as Python, R, KNIME, Splunk, or geo data
- Desirable: industry-recognised qualification/accreditation in a relevant field
- Desirable: demonstrable experience with data visualisation tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Spotfire, or Tableau
- Support the delivery of technical solutions required to integrate complex data and enable data-driven decisions
- Contribute to critical data integration projects
- Help standardise technical practice and lift technical capability in project management, data engineering, and data science
- Support project delivery by identifying, integrating, and exploiting relevant data
- Help ensure data users have access to efficient and intuitive data products and analytical tools that comply with NATO standards, use available technology, and are underpinned by reliable and valid data
- Help ensure decision makers have confidence in situational awareness data through the security, safety, integrity, and availability of relevant data sets
- Support the development and adoption of appropriate architecture, policies, procedures, guidelines, and ways of working to strengthen maturity and enable continuous improvement in data integration

We are Headquarters Allied Maritime Command (HQ MARCOM), NATOs central command for all maritime forces, responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing naval operations, and advising NATO leadership on maritime matters.
