Salary: £42,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Proven experience within a Data Governance, Data Management, or related data role.
  • Practical experience with data stewardship, metadata management, and data quality disciplines.
  • Strong knowledge of data policy frameworks.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the confidence to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with Databricks.
  • Knowledge of DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM, or equivalent data management frameworks is desirable.
  • AI/ML experience is required for one of the roles.
Responsibilities:
  • Support the effective implementation and operation of the enterprise data governance framework.
  • Implement and embed the enterprise data governance framework, ensuring governance standards, policies, and processes are adopted consistently across the organisation.
  • Lead and support the data stewardship operating model, partnering with Data Owners and Stewards to establish clear accountability and governance practices.
  • Drive the definition, maintenance, and adoption of business data definitions, taxonomies, standards, and critical data assets across key data domains.
  • Manage and continuously improve data quality capabilities, including the definition, monitoring, reporting, and remediation of data quality issues and metrics.
  • Oversee metadata management, data cataloguing, lineage, and data classification activities to improve data transparency, discoverability, and trust.
  • Facilitate Data Governance Councils, Stewardship Forums, and governance committees, providing reporting, action tracking, and governance insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with business, technology, architecture, analytics, security, and compliance teams to embed governance controls into data platforms and business processes.
  • Promote a culture of data ownership, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement, supporting initiatives that enhance data literacy, governance maturity, and enterprise-wide trust in data.
  • For the AI/ML-focused role, define and maintain data governance standards for the data layer, including quality, metadata, lineage, access, and usage.
  • For the AI/ML-focused role, own and prioritise the data governance backlog for AI / Data Layer, assessing risk, regulatory impact, and enterprise dependencies.
  • For the AI/ML-focused role, ensure data models, structures, and pipelines align with governance policies and approved business definitions.
  • For the AI/ML-focused role, monitor and improve data quality, completeness, and consistency across domains and use cases.
  • For the AI/ML-focused role, partner with domain owners, data engineering, and product teams to embed governance into delivery processes.
  • For the AI/ML-focused role, provide assurance on compliance with data protection, security, and audit requirements.
