C/C++ Software Engineer

Salary: £150,000 - 150,000 per year

Requirements:

• High proficiency in C/C++
• Experience in writing bare metal embedded software
• Experience with CI/CD workflow
• Experience with Git and containerised development environments
• Familiarity with debugging tools, hardware interfaces, and safety analysis techniques
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to collaborate in a wider team
• Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively liaising with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Understanding of hardware/software integration and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing
• Experience in developing to DO-178C

Responsibilities:

• Assist in delivering embedded C/C++ safety critical projects
• Work onsite 3 days per week in Cheltenham
• Work on aerospace and defense systems
• Produce C/C++ code to internal software standards
• Develop and validate requirements
• Produce accurate design documentation
• Complete thorough software testing
• Carry out requirements definition, design, development, and verification across a variety of integrity levels, from safety critical to proof of concept
• Conduct design and code reviews to maintain high-quality standards
• Debug in embedded environments

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Software Engineer Contractor with a wide breadth of skills to support a variety of software projects and further develop our teams skillset. The role is based onsite in Cheltenham for 3 days per week and involves work on aerospace and defense systems.
