Salary: £45,000 - 65,000 per year

Requirements:

• Commercial experience with C# and .NET
• Experience with ASP.NET MVC or Web API
• Experience with SQL Server or PostgreSQL
• Experience with unit testing
• Experience in backend application development
• Experience with debugging and production support
• Experience in SaaS, FinTech, telecoms, IoT, industrial software, or other complex backend environments is welcome
• Experience with messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, Azure Service Bus, or similar is particularly useful
• Experience with event-driven architecture is particularly useful
• Experience with multi-threading, concurrency, or asynchronous processing is particularly useful
• Experience with distributed systems is particularly useful
• Experience with CI/CD is particularly useful
• Experience with Docker is particularly useful
• Experience with cloud platforms is particularly useful
• Experience with Cassandra or other NoSQL databases is particularly useful
• Experience with real-time data or industrial communication protocols is particularly useful

We are a global software business developing real-time data platforms for the energy industry. We build complex, data-intensive products that collect, process, manage, and visualise operational information from live environments. This is a permanent role based in Aberdeen, ideally hybrid, with flexibility depending on the candidates location. You will join a globally distributed development function within a small Agile team of around four to five developers, reporting to a UK-based Development Manager. The role offers a mix of new product development and improvements to established software platforms, with a salary of £40,000 to £65,000 depending on experience. The interview process is expected to consist of two remote technical interviews, each lasting around 60 to 90 minutes.
