Backend Software Engineer Python LLM Finance

Salary: £90,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require strong Python software engineering experience, including API development.
• We require hands-on experience deploying LLMs and multi-modal models at scale in production.
• We require a strong understanding of scalable MLOps, observability, and cloud-native AI deployment.
• We require advanced stakeholder communication, problem-solving, and project management skills in Agile environments.
• We require a 2.1 or above bachelors degree in Computer Science, AI, or a related STEM discipline.
• Experience with agentic frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex is advantageous.
• Experience with deep learning frameworks is advantageous.
• Experience with tools such as Langfuse, Langsmith, or MCP (Model Context Protocol) is advantageous.
• Experience with bias mitigation techniques is advantageous.

Responsibilities:

• We design and develop autonomous AI systems integrating multi-modal LLMs, including text, image, audio, and video.
• We design agentic workflows that enable AI agents to interact with data sources and APIs using prompt engineering and RAG.
• We optimise and deploy large language and multi-modal models with a focus on performance and latency.
• We build scalable MLOps pipelines and full-stack applications to support robust, production-grade AI deployments.
• We guide multidisciplinary teams and clients through strategic decisions in AI engineering and GenAI adoption using a consultative approach.
