Job Description

Salary: £49,000 - 89,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Extensive leadership experience in AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics, with proven success in building and scaling high-performing teams
  • Demonstrated track record of defining and delivering AI strategies and solutions at scale within complex, enterprise environments
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate complex AI concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, including external stakeholders and clients
  • Experience operating across both strategic and hands-on domains, contributing to innovation while leading delivery of production-grade solutions
  • Deep understanding of governance, compliance, and working within regulated environments, with experience establishing AI governance or model risk frameworks
  • Exceptional problem-solving capabilities, with a proven ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver impactful outcomes
  • Experience in financial markets, trading, or trade surveillance environments
  • Familiarity with product development lifecycles and SaaS-based technology platforms
  • Exposure to enterprise AI governance, risk, or regulatory functions
Responsibilities:
  • Define and execute the AI strategy and roadmap for Nasdaq Trade Surveillance, ensuring alignment with product and business priorities
  • Partner with Product Management and Engineering to translate strategic vision into scalable AI-enabled capabilities across detection, investigation, and automation
  • Act as a senior AI leader across the organization, influencing stakeholders across Product, Engineering, and Sales while representing AI capabilities to clients and external audiences
  • Lead and scale a high-performing, multidisciplinary team spanning AI Engineering, Data Science, and Research, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
  • Establish robust, production-grade AI practices, including model deployment, monitoring, explainability, and governance aligned with enterprise standards
  • Drive integration of AI into core surveillance workflows, ensuring scalable, compliant solutions that strengthen our ability to detect and investigate market abuse
