Job Description
Salary: £62,000 - 102,000 per year
Requirements:- We require a PhD in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, Optimization, or Data Science, or an MS with significant industry or research experience in the field.
- We require a solid background in NLP, LLM, and graph analytics, with hands-on experience and a strong understanding of machine learning and deep learning methods.
- We require hands-on experience building agentic AI and multi-agent systems within regulated or compliance-driven environments.
- We require recent hands-on experience training and deploying models and pipelines.
- We require the ability to design experiments and training frameworks, and to define and evaluate intrinsic and extrinsic metrics for model performance aligned with business goals, with a focus on agentic systems and LLM evaluation.
- We require experience with big data and scalable model training, along with strong written and spoken communication skills to explain technical concepts and results to technical and business audiences.
- We require scientific thinking, the ability to invent, and the ability to work both independently and in highly collaborative team environments.
- We require candidates to be curious, hardworking, detail-oriented, and motivated by complex analytical problems.
- Preferred: strong background in Mathematics and Statistics, and familiarity with the financial services industry and continuous integration models and unit test development.
- Preferred: knowledge of graph integration with LLMs, Reinforcement Learning, or Meta Learning.
- Preferred: experience with A/B experimentation and data- and metric-driven product development, cloud-native deployment in a large-scale distributed environment, and the ability to develop and debug production-quality code.
- Preferred: published research in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, or Reinforcement Learning at a major conference or journal.
- We develop state-of-the-art machine learning models to solve real-world problems across tasks such as natural language processing, speech recognition and analytics, time-series prediction, and recommendation systems.
- We collaborate with partner teams across Business, Technology, Product Management, Legal, Compliance, Strategy, and Business Management to deploy solutions into production.
- We lead, mentor, and inspire a team of AI engineers while fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning.
- We drive firmwide initiatives by developing large-scale frameworks that accelerate the application of machine learning models across different areas of the business.
- We research and explore new machine learning methods through independent study, attending industry-leading conferences, experimentation, and participation in our knowledge sharing community.
