Application Project Leader

Salary: £42,000 - 73,000 per year

Requirements:

• A bachelors degree in an Information Technology subject, or similar
• ITIL Foundation certification
• PRINCE2 qualification
• Expert user of SAP, with familiarity across various SAP modules and their functionalities
• ABAP expertise or experience with programming languages
• Project management experience
• Experience in a SOX controls environment
• Experience in application support
• Internal and external stakeholder communication skills
• Proficient user of Excel
• Impeccable time management and organisational skills
• Strong leadership and teamworking skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly
• Proficient in English, both verbal and written
• Ability to relay technical information to non-technical users and elicit client needs
• Creative approach to problem solving and ability to switch between tasks quickly
• Methodical, investigative and inquisitive mindset with attention to detail

Responsibilities:

• We design and manage application development
• We gather requirements, prepare cost analyses for new applications, and produce proposals for new IT projects
• We identify organisational needs for new applications, research and evaluate new software applications or updates to existing products
• We translate business and user requirements into technical solutions
• We prepare technical specifications and offer guidance in our area of expertise
• We investigate faults, errors, and other technical issues and offer advice to help resolve them
• We liaise with third-party suppliers to fulfil organisational requirements
• We perform project task activities allocated in our area of expertise
• We provide guidance and assistance to the Project and Support Analysts
• We maintain the status of projects and tasks within the EISS Project Management Tool
• We ensure full compliance with governance rules covering Sarbanes Oxley and the ITIL processes defined in the EISS ISO Quality Manual
• We contribute to continuous improvement of project and support delivery processes
• We act as Service Owner

We are Crown, and this opportunity sits within our European Information Systems and Services department (EISS), based in Wantage near Oxford. In this role, we work across Crown Businesses and Functions to capture and document project proposals in line with strategy, while delivering multiple IT projects using PRINCE2. We also ensure Stakeholder and EISS Project Management Tools are kept up to date, support ITIL practices and processes, and coordinate internal EISS and business resources alongside external suppliers to deliver projects and support on time. This is a full-time position.
