API Architect with .Net

Salary: £48,000 - 88,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong experience as a .NET API Technology Architect
• Deep expertise in RESTful service design and enterprise API architecture
• Strong knowledge of .NET ecosystem, containerization, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Experience with Microservices, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), CQRS, and Event-Driven Architecture
• Strong understanding of clean code practices, SOLID principles, and classic design patterns
• Experience defining testing standards for unit, component, and integration testing
• Experience with secure coding practices and technical architecture reviews
• Familiarity with AI-driven engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, prompt engineering, and AI code review tools

Responsibilities:

• Define, design, and enforce REST API standards and governance across enterprise services
• Translate business requirements into robust technical frameworks and high-performance APIs
• Implement architectural patterns including Microservices, DDD, CQRS, and Event-Driven Architecture
• Design naming conventions, versioning strategies, payload structures, and error-handling mechanisms for RESTful services
• Define data modeling, caching strategies, and integration patterns across microservices
• Architect container-native development and deployment workflows using Docker
• Design, configure, and optimize Kubernetes deployments, including ingress, service meshes, scalability, and resource limits
• Establish code quality baselines and promote SOLID principles, design patterns, and clean architecture templates
• Set standards for automated testing and embed secure coding practices into the API lifecycle
• Conduct deep-dive technical reviews to address architectural bottlenecks and technical debt
• Integrate AI productivity tools into the architectural and development lifecycle
• Guide engineering teams on the safe and effective use of AI tools during development and refactoring
