AI ML Researcher

Salary: £90,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require a PhD in a relevant topic.
• We require experience in software development in Python.
• We require experience with at least one ML framework, such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• We require experience working with LLMs, knowledge graphs, or graph machine learning.
• We are particularly interested in candidates with a track record of publications, industry experience, open-source available code, or equivalent academic work in Natural Language Processing, including information extraction, text-mining, and entity linking.
• We are particularly interested in candidates with experience with modern transformer-based NLP models.
• We are particularly interested in candidates with experience applying LLMs to defence problems.
• We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in the taxonomy of graph machine learning tasks and in using graph ML in applied or foundational settings.
• We are particularly interested in candidates with experience handling graph-structured data, designing and utilising relational and graph databases, and knowledge of graph algorithms.
• We prefer familiarity with knowledge representation, ontology design, and semantic or LLM-based reasoning.
• We prefer experience with one or more graph machine learning packages, such as PyTorch-Geometric or PyKeen, and knowledge graph toolkits such as Neo4j.

Responsibilities:

• Propose and lead novel research in given topic areas.
• Lead technical delivery of small project teams.
• Prepare and deliver technical reports, technical proposals, and supporting material.
• Develop prototypes and proof of concept demonstrators.
• Take ownership of tasks in projects and deliver to challenging standards.
• Effectively present results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
