Technical Security Engineer

Salary: £29,000 - 69,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience providing day-to-day technical support and investigating and resolving incidents across IT systems and infrastructure
• Experience administering Microsoft Active Directory, including user accounts, security groups, permissions and organisational units
• Experience managing user access, password resets, account lockouts, and joiner, mover and leaver requests
• Ability to apply role-based access controls and ensure users have appropriate system access
• Experience monitoring Red Hat OpenShift environments and supporting users with access, authentication, application deployment and platform issues
• Ability to investigate platform alerts, failed deployments, connectivity issues and application incidents
• Experience with routine system maintenance, upgrades, patching and security checks
• Ability to maintain accurate technical documentation, support procedures and configuration records
• Ability to undergo and obtain UK Government Security Clearance
• Natural curiosity and a methodical approach to quickly and confidently identify root causes

Responsibilities:

• Support OpenShift users with access, authentication, application deployment and platform-related issues
• Investigate platform alerts, failed deployments, connectivity issues and application incidents
• Perform routine system maintenance, upgrades, patching and security checks
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, support procedures and configuration records
• Take ownership of fault investigations and work with users, internal stakeholders and external partners
