EMEA GTM Senior BDM, GTM Surge Acceleration

Salary: £63,000 - 103,000 per year

Requirements:

• 10+ years of business development, strategic partnerships, or enterprise sales experience in technology.
• 5+ years of experience in one or more priority industries, including Financial Services or Software & Internet.
• Experience engaging C-suite and VP-level stakeholders in strategic technology and AI discussions, and presenting to technical and non-technical executive audiences.
• Experience translating complex business challenges into technology roadmaps and orchestrating cross-functional delivery.
• Experience leading complex, multi-year initiatives spanning business and technology, and working across organizations and countries in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
• Experience developing strategies that influence organizational leadership decisions and solving technology problems in the Global Financial Services Industry.
• Experience in go-to-market, business development, sales, or consulting.
• Preferred: Deep expertise in Generative AI, Agentic AI, or cloud-native AI/ML solutions, including AgentCore and Bedrock, Kiro and AI Migrations, or Quick.
• Preferred: Experience taking cross-functional delivery teams from proof of concept to production; developing GTM strategy, solution design, and partner ecosystems; or identifying, negotiating, and executing complex technology agreements.
• Preferred: A track record of creating public customer references and thought leadership, and interpreting data to make business recommendations or influence internal and external stakeholders.
• Preferred: An MBA or relevant advanced degree, fluency in multiple European languages, or experience with AWS, hyperscalers, or enterprise SaaS organizations.

Responsibilities:

• Own and drive the AI engagement lifecycle across a portfolio of strategic Surge accounts, from opportunity identification and use-case prioritization through team orchestration and production deployment.
• Advise C-suite executives and serve as the primary industry-specific AI resource for assigned accounts and high-potential customers across EMEA.
• Set the vision, strategy, and measurable outcomes for assigned industry verticals, including where AI opportunities, customer readiness, and go-to-market approaches are not yet defined.
• Build business development pipeline with C-suite prospects and partners, and accelerate deals across Agentic Platform, AI SDLC, and Business Productivity offerings.
• Translate industry business challenges into actionable Generative AI use cases, connecting customer needs with AWS AI services, partner solutions, and proven architectures.
• Build relationships with line-of-business executives and maintain executive engagement and governance from qualification through production launch.
• Coordinate with account teams, solution architects, GenAIIC, ProServe, ISVs, industry partners, and other cross-functional teams.
• Create industry-specific thought leadership, including points of view, executive briefs, and demos; represent AWS at selected customer and industry events.
• Present business reviews and strategic recommendations to senior leadership on progress, roadblocks, and opportunities to expand AI adoption.
• Develop scalable mechanisms and best practices for repeatable AI deployment, while managing a high volume of engagements across multiple countries and segments.
