Backend Software Engineer - Product Eligibility

Salary: £66,000 - 106,000 per year

Requirements:

• You must already be based in the UK or be able to work from the UK; were unable to support relocation or visa sponsorship.
• Experience working with large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of Java 8 or later.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases, query optimization, and schema design.
• Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining clean RESTful APIs.
• Commitment to coding best practices, code reviews, and open feedback.
• Enjoyment of writing testable code and commitment to Test Driven Development.
• Nice to have: experience with Spring Boot, Kafka, or Backend-for-Frontends (BFFs).

Responsibilities:

• Drive the technical vision for the domain owned by an autonomous team.
• Contribute to our platform and back-office tooling, and occasionally to customer-facing flows.
• Help us scale and build a world-class transfer product.
