Platform Engineer

Salary: £40,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong software engineering experience with .NET and/or PowerShell
• Hands-on experience working in Agile and DevOps environments
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure
• Experience designing secure, compliant cloud infrastructure
• Infrastructure-as-code expertise using Bicep, ARM Templates, Terraform, or similar tools
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of tools such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, TeamCity, Jenkins, or Octopus Deploy
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Understanding of SQL Server and NoSQL technologies such as Cosmos DB or RavenDB
• Exposure to secure development practices, including SAST, SBOM generation, and vulnerability scanning

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and support our internal developer platform
• Develop and improve infrastructure-as-code capabilities to create consistent, repeatable environments
• Maintain and enhance CI/CD tooling and build automation frameworks
• Support deployment automation and help teams deliver reliable releases to production
• Work closely with development teams to improve scalability, performance, security, and reliability
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve the developer experience
• Champion cloud engineering best practices, security, and operational excellence
