Cyber Security Engineer (Cloud Security Specialist)

Salary: £41,000 - 81,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require applicants to hold or be capable of obtaining UK National Security Vetting. This may require having resided in the UK for at least the past five years and being a UK national or dual UK national.
• A technical background, willingness to learn, and experience in an operationally focused engineering function.
• Experience bringing a technology perspective to a range of client issues and showing how technology can address problems and realise opportunities.
• A strong understanding of cloud networking and architecture principles, identity and access management models, security monitoring, and SIEM integration.
• Hands-on experience with at least two cloud environments, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, VMware Cloud Foundation, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience securing multi-cloud or hybrid environments, including greenfield and legacy platforms.
• We would also welcome experience managing teams and structuring complex projects; a clear record of achievement and progression in consulting or a comparable industry environment; relevant cybersecurity certifications; Big Four or mid-tier consultancy experience; and working knowledge of Secure by Design.
• The successful candidate must be able to work from client sites three or more days a week.

Responsibilities:

• Support projects or workstreams within larger programmes, consulting with Partners, Directors, and Senior Managers where appropriate.
• Plan and shape engagement delivery, including work plans, timelines, project management, and resource allocation.
• Provide input on security operations capabilities and services.
• Build and manage client relationships on a daily basis.
• Secure multi-cloud environments and embed robust protection across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and security teams to embed security principles into cloud-native architectures.
