Software Applications Engineer

Salary: £36,000 - 76,000 per year

Requirements:

• A degree in a relevant engineering discipline, or a software engineering qualification with industry experience
• Strong C++ skills, with demonstrable knowledge of at least C++11
• Familiarity with developing control software
• A solid understanding of software design and architecture
• Knowledge of backend server design and structure
• Familiarity with standard web technologies
• Exposure to front-end development and the ability to build functional web pages
• Software skills in JavaScript, Python, XML, JSON, HTML, or CSS on Windows and Linux
• Willingness to undertake workforce screening, which may include baseline personnel security checks, National Security Vetting, reference checks, verification of working rights, and a security interview for preferred candidates

• Design and implement application and software solutions for underwater robotics in line with our business needs
• Design and develop software for the next generation of underwater vehicles
