Lead Test Engineer
Job Description
Salary: £90,000 - 90,000 per year
Requirements:- Leading and proactively owning test and quality strategies across multiple teams and tech stacks, including microservices, APIs, GUIs, CoTs and message brokers.
- Proactively defining and embedding test engineering practices in Java, especially around BDD.
- Leading and enabling non-functional testing approaches, including accessibility, performance, security and usability, with suitable tools, standards and test types.
- Driving and implementing testing earlier in the delivery lifecycle, including CI/CD and automated pipelines within cloud infrastructure.
- Leading, developing and line managing agile and diverse teams of embedded test engineers, promoting skills development, good practices and continuous improvement.
- Providing technical leadership across the full software development lifecycle, from understanding business needs to delivery into production.
- Delivering technical leadership and managing risk, issues, defects and progress reporting.
- Work with architects, delivery teams and stakeholders to ensure quality is built into every stage of delivery.
- Shape test strategy and drive automation.
- Coach engineers and influence technical decisions.
- Help teams deliver secure, accessible and reliable services.
- Work across Azure, microservices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Champion continuous improvement and build a culture where quality is everyones responsibility.
