Infrastructure F5 Engineer

Salary: £41,000 - 71,500 per year

Requirements:

• Strong experience as an Infrastructure, Network or Network Security Engineer
• Hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP, ideally LTM
• Good understanding of networking, IP routing and firewalls
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and modern architectures, including IaaS/CaaS
• Knowledge of automation, CI/CD and Agile delivery
• Experience with Python, Jenkins and GitHub or similar technologies
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in complex enterprise or data-centre environments
• Desirable experience with F5 GTM/DNS, APM or AWAF, along with AppViewX ADC, Declarative Onboarding (DO) and AS3
• Self-motivated, able to work independently, collaborate effectively and quickly learn new technologies and domains

We are a specialist F5 Delivery team within a major UK financial services organisation. This is a 6-month contract opportunity in a hybrid working pattern with 2 days per week on-site, based in Edinburgh, Leeds or Manchester. The role offers the chance to work with enterprise-scale technology, automation and cloud environments, with a day rate of circa £650 umbrella and potential for extension.
