Salary: £58,000 - 98,000 per year

Requirements:
  • We are looking for at least 5 to 7 years of proven hands-on infrastructure experience.
  • We need highly developed leadership skills and exceptional people management skills.
  • We require strong technical IT infrastructure expertise and experience managing and improving technologies, security, and compliance.
  • We are looking for proven experience delivering infrastructure projects and changes in a fast-paced, high-frequency change environment.
  • We need experience supporting a large 24x7 operations environment and leading a multi-skilled team through change and transition.
  • We require experience managing internal and third-party resources to plan, design, build, and run enterprise IT infrastructure.
  • We are looking for experience with cloud migration projects.
  • We need an excellent understanding of enterprise best-practice infrastructure management, including automation/orchestration, monitoring, and logging.
  • We require previous experience in mixed on-premises and cloud environments, such as Azure or AWS.
  • We need working knowledge of information security threats and how to prevent them.
  • We require minimum ITIL V3 Foundation certification and significant experience in ITIL-aligned environments.
  • We are looking for excellent stakeholder management experience.
  • We need a broad understanding of relevant technologies, including Microsoft server infrastructures, Linux/open-source technologies, virtualisation, data centre and edge networking, endpoint security, Office 365, Microsoft Azure, scripting, PowerShell, and Ansible.
Responsibilities:
  • We lead a team of highly skilled infrastructure professionals and manage third-party relationships.
  • We are responsible for all infrastructure services, including network, hosting, and server infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • We manage, mentor, and develop a team of 3rd line infrastructure engineers.
  • We work closely with IT management, third parties, business owners, and product owners to deliver efficient infrastructure services.
  • We oversee administration, operational support, and governance of infrastructure deliverables.
  • We ensure solutions are fit for purpose and aligned to IT infrastructure roadmaps and architectural strategy.
  • We manage incidents and requests in line with agreed SLAs and OLAs.
  • We act as the first point of escalation for service and delivery issues.
  • We carry out proactive incident, problem, change, and configuration management.
  • We manage resources to ensure adequate cover for existing support requirements.
  • We ensure effective disaster recovery and business continuity plans are in place and regularly tested.
  • We manage effective and value-adding third-party relationships.

Our client is based in Paddington, London, and we offer some remote working as part of a permanent full-time IT Infrastructure Team Lead opportunity. The salary range is 65,000 to 75,000 plus benefits. This is a key leadership role within our IT infrastructure team, where we support enterprise infrastructure services across network, hosting, and server environments.
