Software Strategic Sourcing Advisor

Salary: £59,000 - 99,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require 15+ years of SaaS, cloud, and on-premise software strategic sourcing delivery expertise.
• We require experience negotiating agreements with leading software vendors such as SAP, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Oracle, VMware, Dell/EMC, and IBM/Red Hat, including commercial models, licensing metrics, market positioning, sales tactics, and vendor-specific sourcing strategies.
• We require deep expertise across a minimum of five major enterprise software providers.
• We require the ability to independently lead client engagements within 30 days of hire, including developing sourcing strategies, performing commercial analysis, and leading vendor negotiations.
• We require demonstrated expertise in quantitative analysis, financial modeling, pricing analysis, and scenario development for complex software sourcing strategies and enterprise negotiations.
• We require proven experience structuring and leading complex software negotiations, including negotiation strategy development, executive stakeholder alignment, commercial risk assessment, and contract optimization.
• We require experience leading multiple concurrent client engagements, including defining project objectives, work plans, milestones, deliverables, resource requirements, and executive communications.
• We require the ability to lead complex, multi-disciplinary engagements across multiple countries and service lines through influence and collaboration.
• We require experience developing executive-level presentations and recommendations that translate licensing, financial, contractual, and sourcing considerations into actionable business decisions.
• We require the ability to identify additional advisory opportunities within existing client accounts and collaborate on proposals, statements of work, and sales pursuit materials.
• We require the ability to serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, including CIOs, CTOs, CFOs, CPOs, procurement executives, and other business leaders.
• We require leadership, coaching, performance management, and professional development experience for direct reports.
• We require the ability to support hiring and talent development to help scale the EMEA Software Advisory team.
• We require experience contributing to methodologies, intellectual property, market research, service offerings, and delivery frameworks.
• We require strong presentation skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders across a client organization.
• We require strong interpersonal and organizational skills, including the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• We require a bachelors degree in a technical or scientific field, ideally in information technology, finance, engineering, or math/analytics, or equivalent work experience.
• We require proficiency in business collaboration and analytics tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• We generally require less than 20% travel.

Responsibilities:

• We lead projects and teams supporting large enterprise software sourcing engagements and critical workstreams for complex multi-software sourcing engagements.
• We develop and execute strategies that support client project success and the growth of our Software Advisory Team.
• We work with local ISG Partners and Business Development Executives to support growing sales opportunities in the region.
• We make decisions independently and work with clients to develop effective solutions that drive high customer satisfaction.
• We support the growth and expansion of our EMEA Software Advisory team through leadership, coaching, performance management, and professional development.
• We support or lead hiring and talent development to ensure continued growth and scalability.
• We collaborate with Partners, Business Development Executives, and regional leadership to identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities.
• We help develop proposals, statements of work, and sales pursuit materials.
• We drive high levels of client satisfaction through executive engagement, successful delivery outcomes, and identification of additional opportunities within existing accounts.
• We act as thought leaders internally and externally by contributing to industry research, publishing insights, speaking at conferences and client events, and representing ISG in the marketplace.
• We contribute to the development and enhancement of our methodologies, intellectual property, market research, service offerings, and delivery frameworks.
