SAP Business ByDesign Consultant

Salary: £63,000 - 103,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proficiency in SAP Business ByDesign, including configuration, troubleshooting, and implementation, with a strong focus on Supply Chain.
• Experience with project accounting processes is advantageous.
• Strong consultancy background with an emphasis on the Cloud Mindset to advise clients strategically, map requirements to solutions, and support troubled projects effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, leading workshops, and mentoring team members.
• Ability to analyse complex issues, troubleshoot effectively, and provide timely and innovative solutions.
• Experience managing workloads, meeting project deadlines, and collaborating with diverse teams to ensure project success.
• Capability to create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including solution designs and technical requirements.
• Commitment to maintaining high levels of client satisfaction, responsiveness to queries, and delivering effective training.
• Willingness to stay updated with industry trends, SAP developments, and acquire relevant certifications and accreditations.

Responsibilities:

• Support client implementation projects by troubleshooting and advising on challenging scenarios, supporting consultants, or taking over as lead consultant for distressed projects.
• Support our SAP Business ByDesign Presales team by taking part in pre-project workshops, reviewing effort estimates, advising on processes or complex business requirements, and reviewing statements of work.
• Assist our SAP Business ByDesign support team by helping troubleshoot challenging support tickets, advising on resolutions, or taking ownership of support tickets through to resolution where appropriate.
• Work with our SAP Business ByDesign Project Managers and Team Leads as necessary.
• Train or mentor other team members as part of their continuing professional development.
• Assist with quality assurance of the work produced by our SAP Business ByDesign practice team members.
• Advise customers at a strategic level based on in-depth industry knowledge.
• Analyse customer requirements and map them to the SAP Business ByDesign solution.
• Configure, unit test, implement, deliver, and maintain the SAP Business ByDesign system.
• Act as lead consultant on implementation projects within our areas of expertise in Supply Chain and project accounting processes.
• Author solution design documents within our areas of expertise.
• Author functional specification documents for solutions requiring SAP Business ByDesign SDK or SAP BTP developments to meet customer and project requirements.
• Sign off technical developments before handing them to the customer for UAT.
• Manage our own workload, request additional project work or support tickets when quiet to achieve departmental utilisation targets, and help ensure project deliverables are completed on time and to schedule.
• Assist in planning the timelines and resources required to implement customer solutions.
• Provide answers to customer queries by identifying problems, researching answers, guiding customers through corrective steps, and responding in a timely fashion.
• Create analytical reports and data sources as necessary.
• Deliver training to customers as necessary.
• Write and maintain quality documentation for clients.
• Improve system performance by identifying problems and recommending changes.
