Data Scientist - RF Embedded Algorithms
Job Description
Salary: £70,000 - 70,000 per year
Requirements:- We are looking for a specialist in Machine Learning, with the principal skillset in ML and secondary skillsets in DSP and algorithms.
- You will demonstrate best practices around training and deploying ML models.
- You will have a demonstrable history of using ML, algorithms, or statistical techniques to solve real-world problems, ideally on FPGA or embedded processors.
- You will have practical experience of DSP in an RF comms domain or a similar domain.
- You will have expert knowledge of Python and libraries such as NumPy, PyTorch, and TensorFlow.
- You will have knowledge of key software development tools such as Git, Docker, and Jenkins.
- You will have experience with software-defined radio (SDR) systems.
- We will use your expertise to develop machine learning techniques for embedded RF platforms and desktop systems used in Electronic Warfare.
- We will expect you to develop offline using standard libraries such as TensorFlow, then use techniques such as quantisation to show the solution can run on target hardware.
- You will help deliver concept demonstrators up to field trial level.
- You will help identify new techniques that can advance the product.
- You will provide expertise in the area of ML and algorithms to the company.
- You will carry out any other reasonable duties required to support the company in meeting its objectives.
