DV Cleared Solutions Architect

Salary: £43,000 - 83,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for candidates with a solid academic background.
• We require significant experience in one or more solution domains, including information security, SOA, BPM, EAI, data warehousing, J2EE, social network analysis, e-business, enterprise search and retrieval, analytics, mobility, business event processing, network and infrastructure design, or ITIL.
• We require expertise in one or more delivery models, including client-side advisory services, managed service provision, fixed price and time and materials delivery, outsourcing, offshoring, nearshoring, or prime and sub-contracting.
• Security clearance is required for this vacancy.
• If not currently security cleared, candidates must be willing and able to qualify for the process.

Responsibilities:

• We take ownership of the solution elements of major opportunities and delivery programmes.
• We manage the solution design process from initial concepts through to end of life.
• We shape and drive solution thinking for complex bids and delivery engagements.
• We shape solution blueprints and designs using architecture frameworks and other design articulations.
• We oversee implementation of the design with technical, system, software, data, security, functional, and information architects.
• We ensure the design meets key functional and non-functional requirements and supports operational and through-life scenarios.
• We work with client technical authorities or architecture functions to ensure architecture and design proposals are clearly understood and standards and constraints are addressed.
• We work with quality and test management functions to ensure appropriate approaches and test strategies are followed.
• We work with Delivery Assurance functions to agree how solution delivery quality and progress should be tracked.
• We retain overall ownership of the solution through delivery and transition into operation and or subsequent refinement or modification.
• We lead estimation efforts to develop understanding of solution costs and delivery timescales, including appropriate service regimes for solutions in production operation.
• We establish policy and strategy for selecting systems architecture components and coordinate design activities to promote consistency.
