Biostatistician II
Job Description
Salary: £66,000 - 106,000 per year
Requirements:- Masters Degree in Statistics (or equivalent) plus a minimum of 3 years industry experience, or PhD in Statistics (or equivalent) plus 1 year of industry related experience
- Thorough understanding of the statistical aspects of clinical trials and/or observational studies
- Experience in statistical analysis in a clinically related subject, within clinical trials
- SAS programming or R programming skills (desired)
- Confidence, self-reliance, and the ability to learn quickly while working in a matrixed team
- Good leadership skills
- Strong oral and written English communication skills
- Strong work ethic to support the development of life-changing treatments for patients
- Independently lead the development and execution of statistical aspects for studies of low to moderate complexity
- Develop complex analysis strategies and execute them using efficient programming techniques
- Perform intricate statistical analyses and provide input to statistical reports
- Collaborate on global, cross-functional teams
- Provide input to analysis plans, statistical reports, and statistical sections of integrated clinical reports
- Act as a proactive advisor across the project life cycle, from proposal through completion
- Review analysis data sets and quality control statistical analysis deliverables
- Liaise with biostatistical and other company departments to optimize global efficiency
- Coordinate biostatistics-related project activities to meet timelines and budget
- Coordinate with clients regarding data analysis, scope of work, and budget
- Translate scientific questions into statistical terms and statistical concepts into layman terms
