Biostatistician II

Salary: £66,000 - 106,000 per year

Requirements:

• Masters Degree in Statistics (or equivalent) plus a minimum of 3 years industry experience, or PhD in Statistics (or equivalent) plus 1 year of industry related experience
• Thorough understanding of the statistical aspects of clinical trials and/or observational studies
• Experience in statistical analysis in a clinically related subject, within clinical trials
• SAS programming or R programming skills (desired)
• Confidence, self-reliance, and the ability to learn quickly while working in a matrixed team
• Good leadership skills
• Strong oral and written English communication skills
• Strong work ethic to support the development of life-changing treatments for patients

Responsibilities:

• Independently lead the development and execution of statistical aspects for studies of low to moderate complexity
• Develop complex analysis strategies and execute them using efficient programming techniques
• Perform intricate statistical analyses and provide input to statistical reports
• Collaborate on global, cross-functional teams
• Provide input to analysis plans, statistical reports, and statistical sections of integrated clinical reports
• Act as a proactive advisor across the project life cycle, from proposal through completion
• Review analysis data sets and quality control statistical analysis deliverables
• Liaise with biostatistical and other company departments to optimize global efficiency
• Coordinate biostatistics-related project activities to meet timelines and budget
• Coordinate with clients regarding data analysis, scope of work, and budget
• Translate scientific questions into statistical terms and statistical concepts into layman terms
