Senior Python Developer

Salary: £69,000 - 106,000 per year

Requirements:

• We consider candidates with at least five years of experience writing code in production.
• We want engineers who are passionate about great code, well-built products, and beautifully engineered solutions.
• We need people who are comfortable working in a predominantly Python-based environment.
• We value experience using tools such as Docker and Git.
• Ideally, you have experience working on scalable, high-impact, high-performing products.
• Ideally, you are comfortable creating products using a performant, typed language such as Python, C++, or Java.
• Ideally, you have experience in a leadership role and have delivered projects from start to finish.
• Ideally, you are confident working with changing requirements and ambiguity.
• Ideally, you have a good understanding of data structures, algorithms, TDD, and APIs, with an interest in microservices.
• Bonus points if you have used microservices in production.

Responsibilities:

• We build well-engineered, innovative, and long-lasting solutions for millions of online shoppers.
• We work within our Acquisition Technology team to solve problems that help us acquire users at scale.
• We reduce our dependency on Google for organic traffic.
• We work on reducing duplicate content.
• We build automated bid optimisation platforms to improve paid search efficiency.
• We collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and data scientists.
• We work on whole projects from design through to shipping.
• We define features, ensure they are scalable, and deliver them to project deadlines.
• We test our code and new ideas.
• We contribute to the open source and tech community.
• We deploy frequently and take pride and ownership in what we create.
