Lead DevOps Platform Engineer
Job Description
Salary: £33,000 - 73,000 per year
Requirements:- We require a proven ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and drive DevOps best practices.
- We require strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
- We require proven experience designing, building, and operating cloud-native platforms in Azure and/or AWS.
- We require strong knowledge of cloud security, networking, and identity and access management (IAM).
- We require hands-on experience implementing and managing Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- We require strong experience with Kubernetes, containerisation, and platform operations.
- We require experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar.
- We require strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or Go.
- We require experience designing and implementing monitoring, logging, and observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, ELK/EFK.
- We require excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- We require experience designing and implementing high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.
- We require experience with multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud architectures.
- We require knowledge of FinOps and cloud cost optimisation practices.
- We require experience implementing DevSecOps principles and security controls within CI/CD pipelines.
- We require experience building developer platforms and self-service capabilities.
- We require the right to work in the UK.
- We require the ability to obtain and maintain UK Security Clearance.
- We require willingness to travel within the UK when required.
- Desirable qualifications include Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400), AWS Solutions Architect – Associate, AWS SysOps Administrator – Associate, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), and HashiCorp Terraform Associate.
- We will help enhance the support, delivery, and evolution of our Netcompany Platforms solutions.
- We will build high-performing, resilient, and secure services for our clients.
- We will work alongside a skilled and forward-thinking engineering community.
- We will design, implement, and operate cloud-based solutions for complex enterprise environments and high-profile clients.
- We will lead DevOps strategy, drive platform modernisation, and implement best practices across cloud infrastructure, automation, security, and observability.
- We will mentor engineering teams, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure reliable, resilient platforms that meet evolving business and technical requirements.
