Software Engineer III, Android Studio

Salary: £160,000 - 200,000 per year

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• Experience in software development building Android applications using Kotlin.
• Masters degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Familiarity with Jetpack Compose application development.
• Passion for working on new form factors and delivering high quality developer experiences.
• Comfortable integrating AI in your development workflow.

Responsibilities:

• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices, including style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
• Triage product or system issues and debug, track, and resolve them by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
• Build and expand features within Android Studio to support modern developer workflows and frameworks.
• Improve Jetpack Compose tooling to provide great developer experiences that help Android developers ship high quality applications and ease the workload of delivering UIs across different form factors.
• Work on projects that solve complex technical and UX challenges.
• Work on a specific project critical to our needs, with opportunities to switch teams and projects as our business grows and evolves.
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.
